I am just your average mom trying my best to raise polite children that trust in the Lord with all their hearts. I have a wonderful husband who is trying his darndest to retire from the Navy, but unfortunately, there are forces working against him.  We homeschool our children.  We teach them fun things like Latin, Algebra and Biology in the hopes that someday they will find a career that they love. 

The Navy has been good to us, and we have been fortunate to live in Singapore, Illinois, Florida, and now again in my home state of Washington. It has been a wild ride, and I love to talk about it. I think a civilian life would have been a little boring, honestly. Absolutely, it stinks sometimes, but I love being a part of the military community.

I am a Christian and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod; a small, Norwegian synod. I love the Lutheran tradition, but that is because we love to hear the Gospel. Who wouldn’t want to hear over and over again that all your sins have been washed away? We can be a little quirky, but a lot of the time I think that we are misunderstood.
